The newly appointed Chairman of the Referee Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Sharif Rabiu Inuwa has promised to apply new method in appointing referees for matches in the country to avoid suspicion, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Inuwa, who also doubles at the Chairman of Kano State Football Association, said his Committee will do everything possible to adhere strictly to FIFA, CAF and NRA rules and regulations before appointing referees for games.

He insisted that any off

“I know the terrain very well because I was the Vice chairman of the committee before. I am aware of the problems on ground and I know how to handle it. We will try and bring new modality to avoid any suspicions from public over the credibility of any referee appointing for matches. We will ensure that quality people are appointed for the league games," Inuwa told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“We would have to apply FIFA, CAF and NRA rules and regulations to the later. And any referee who wants to handle games must get necessary requirement before he or she should be appointed for matches. We will ensure that we get free and fair officiating in the coming season.’’
