El Kanemi Warriors
defeated league champions Plateau United 2-1 in a pre season friendly match
played at the Jos Township stadium on Monday evening.
The new signing
King Osanga opened scoring for the home team in the 49th minute before El Kanemi
Warriors got an equalizer through super-sub Kingsley Moduforo, who came on for
Bello Kofarmata, in the 65th minute.
The Borno
Army scored the second goal 70th minute through Nuru Mohammed who replaced
Abraham Audu in the 56th minute.
The club
media officer, Anthony Obaseki said the team will return to Maiduguri after
their pre season friendly.
“We have
rounded up our pre-season playing tour and we are returning back to Maiduguri
from Jos. we have finished our playing tour so we are going back home first
before going to the Kano pre-season tournament which is our next assignment,”
Obaseki said.
