Kano Pillars
technical adviser Ibrahim Musa has revealed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that
his team is still in need of a defensive midfielder and a central attacker before the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new
season.
Musa said
the team has signed six new players and promoted two players from the junior
team but he is not yet satisfied with what is on ground.
The technical
adviser said the team is taking shape with their pre-season campaign, stressing
that old and new players are getting use to themselves with the tournament in
Ilorin.
“The team is
taking shape and we are doing fine according to laid down plans. Some of the
new signing joined the team here in Ilorin and we are using the tournament to
access them. When we go back to Kano both old and new players will get use to
our tactical play better.
“We are going
to register thirty players for the coming season. We have six new players and
two from the junior team but I will appeal to the management to sign one new
defensive midfielder and a central attacker for the team. Honestly, we have to
get things right before the commencement of the season because we want to
compete favourably this season. We thank the government and management for what
they are doing to the team but like Oliver Twist we are still in need of a
midfielder and a striker,” Musa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
