Flying
Eagles assistant coach Abdu Maikaba is confident of Flying Eagles' victory over
Guinea Bissau in the first leg of a 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations second round
qualifying fixture on Saturday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The Akwa
United manager said that the team had the best preparation and they are in high
spirit for the game.
Nigeria U20
boys had a two–match tour of Egypt in March and played several warm up matches
against the local teams before they traveled to Guinea Bissau for the match.
“We have
high expectations in the game and by the current form exhibited by the team in
recent preparatory games we should go there and pick maximum points,” Maikaba
said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
The match
will take place at the September 24 Stadium in Bissau, starting from 4pm Guinea
Bissau time (5pm in Nigeria).
The Nigeria
team contingent which include 20 players and team officials led by Coach Paul
Aigbogun made the trip.
