The management
of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)side, Niger Tornadoes is bereaved following
the death of their defender Hussaini Isah, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
According to information made available by the club, Isah died on Monday evening and he will be buried this evening according to Islamic rite.
The defender,
who just returned to the team after a match suspension due to yellow cards
accumulation, was hit by a reckless motorcycle rider along Maitumbi road,
Minna, Niger State.
He was later
confirmed dead at the State General Hospital.
The statement
on the club’s facebook page read: “With
sorrow heart, we painfully announced the sudden exit of our dedicated and
humble defender Hussaini Isah, who lost his life this Monday evening
“The
defender who just returned to the team after a match suspension due to yellow
card accumulation was hit by a reckless motorcycle rider popularly called okoda
along Maitumbi road, Minna, Niger State.
“He was
later confirmed dead at the state general hospital. Hussain Isah will be buried
this evening according to Islamic rite. We pray that Allah Almighty grant him
Al-Jannah Fridau (Amin). An official statement will be released by the
management of the club after the burial.”
