The
management of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi has strengthened the team with eight new
players in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) mid transfer
window, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
According to
the information made available through the club's media officer, Bala Kurba,
the decision to fortify the team is part of the efforts by the management to
ensure optimum result for the team.
Some of the
new players include, Habeed Abdulkareem
from Katsina United, Bobga Forsah Sixtus and Ocheme Edoh from El Kanemi
Warriors, Mu'azzam Dahiru from Jigawa Golden Stars and Abubakar Hassan from
Giwa FC.
Bala also
revealed that the club has parted ways with eight players to confirm Sportinglens.blogspot.com's story which was reported last week.
The club's
General Manager Auwalu Baba Jada had told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the club had
released Chima Ndukwu, Jonathan Okeke, Bertto (a Cameroonian), Zaka Bala,
Hassan Hussain, Godday Daddy and Onuoha Chukwu.
"The
club thanked the former players for their selfless service to the club and wished
them all the best in their future endeavours," Kurba said.
