WIkki Tourists FC Technical Adviser Kabiru Dogo has said that the club will not conduct an open screening to recruit new players for the team ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Dogo stated this against the backdrop of influx of players at the team’s camp in Bauchi, seeking to be recruited.

The former Lobi Stars gaffer, who is worried with the situation, said that only invited players would be added to the ones already in the camp.

“When I arrived some couple of weeks back, players came in and I gave them the opportunity to train with us because they showed interest in the team but that opportunity is over now, we will no longer accept uninvited players,” Dogo said.

He added: “In fact, I have selected my players except few invited ones that will join us within the week and subsequently we will unveil them.”

Wikki Tourists FC have started early preparation for the coming season despite the fact that the League Management Company, (LMC) is yet to make an official pronouncement on date to commence the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
