Niger Tornadoes unveil three new players

 


Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna have announced the signing of three new players to beef up the squad ahead of the 2021/2022 football season.

The trio of David Nnaji Chijioke, Christian Nwabueze and Timothy Danladi completed the switched to the Ikon Allah Boys after all parties agreed on the contractual deals.

Chijioke, an attacker who joined the club from Kano Pillars was snapped up to improve the team’s attack while Nwabueze, a defensive midfielder engaged from Sokoto United. Completing the triad is Danladi an experienced center back was signed from Enyimba International of Aba.

Addressing the players during the signing and unveiling ceremony at the Club's Secretariat, the club’s Team Manager, Aliyu Mohammed urged the players to feel at home and not allow anything to distract them and assured that they are in safe hands as far as Niger Tornadoes is concerned.

SportingLife reports that the Minna-based outfit retained 24 players out of 32 registered to prosecute Nigeria National League (NNL) last season.

Niger Tornadoes outshined all opponents in the Super 8 Play-off in Enugu to emerge 2020/2021 NNL Champions.

The Ikon Allah Boys after topping Group A2 table in the laborious regular football season in the second tier league, capped up the NNL season with a classic 3-2 win against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan in the final.
