.Confirm contract talks with gaffer

.To continue searching for a suitable coach

Kano Pillars have resolved to look elsewhere for a suitable coach following the club’s inability to snatch Coach Salisu Yusuf away from Rangers International FC of Enugu, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Sportinglens.blogspot.com understands that Sai Masu Gida made an attempt to sign the former Super Eagles assistant coach as his name was among the six coaches shortlisted for interview by the Kano Pillars’ management.

However, the General Manager of Rangers International F C Davidson Owumi had on Thursday said that the contract between the club and coach Yusuf is still intact, insisting that all the terms of the contract the club have with the coach have to be fully respected.

But while reacting to media reports that Yusuf will leave Rangers to Kano Pillars, the club’s chairman Surajo Jambul confirmed that both Kano Pillars FC and coach Yusuf indicated interest to work together but never issued an officially statement that it had signed a deal with him.

Jambul added that Kano Pillars are following thing one after another to ensure that the club do everything in a right way.

“Since Coach Salisu Yusuf is going to continue with Enugu Rangers Int'l FC we are wishing him all the best and we are not relenting in our mission of getting a coach with CAF A license that will lead our team in the forthcoming 2021/2022 football season.

“Let me remind you, we never made any commitment with Coach Salisu as some reports are claiming in some media in the last ten days but we are just studying the situation and thank God there is no place where (Kano) Pillars FC or Coach Salisu was quoting making official statement about any deal with Sai Masu Gida coaching issue,” chairman explained.

Jambul said Kano Pillars would come up with official statement on how it will engage a qualified coach in line with its mission in the forthcoming season.
