FIFA to investigate Pogba's transfer to Manchester United

FIFA have begun investigations into the transfer of Paul Pogba from Juventus to Manchester United last summer. The investigation comes in the wake of Sportsmail's revelations that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola will be paid over £41million for bringing the midfielder to United.


The Frenchman broke the world record transfer fee when he made the £89million switch to the Premier League club.

Pogba earns a basic wage of £8.61m, equating to £165,588 a week, and will receive an annual loyalty bonus in excess of £3.4m from next year.

The super agent pocketed £23million from the initial transfer fee but that is set to almost double. 

Raiola also represents United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who moved to England on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer. However, the Swede best-paid player in the Premier League on £367,640 a week, totalling just over £19million a year. He is also due £2.86m in goal bonuses. 

The huge figures are divulged in Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football, based on the research of Der Spiegel journalists Rafael Buschmann and Michael Wulzinger and published in Germany this week.
