Kano Pillars coach Musa hails players' resilience

Kano Pillars acting technical adviser, Ibrahim  Musa has praised the commitment of his players during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes in a matchday 20 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, Sportinglens.blogspot.com report. 


The club new signing Junior Lokosa’s 21st minute goal gave Sai Masu Gida maximum three points at stake in the clash.

Musa told Sportinglens.blogspot.com in a telephone chat that his boys played to instructions and promised to sustain the momentum.

He stressed that the partnership of the striking duo of Lokosa and Nwagua Nyima is yielding positive results.  The pair joined the Sai Masu Gida during the mid-transfer window and they made their debut on Sunday.

“We thanked God that we won the game and I want to dedicate the victory to our chairman for his belief in the team. I am aware of the difficulty of the match been the first match but I am happy that my boys gave everything to the game. Our fans have started enjoying what we promised them, which is total football. Our confidence is back and we want to sustain the tempo.


“I am confident that the new players would gradually adapt with the club’s style. Lokosa and Nyima played well on Sunday and we expected more from them.  What we need now is total dedication and commitment.  Our attention has been shifted to our next match and we want to give everything to end the season well,” Musa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
