The list of Electoral Committee Members for the 2017
National Sports Federation Election has been released by the Sports Ministry,
Sportinglens.blogspot.com understands.
It is yet unclear whether the election will hold as planned
after the Federal House of Representatives called for the postponement of the election into the
board of the National Sports Federation on Wednesday and ordered the federation
officials, who were deposed by the Sports Ministry, back to their offices.
The House has also mandated its Committee on Sports to
investigate the Ministry’s funding for the nation’s sports sector.
In a motion moved by Honourable Ayodeji Joseph, the House of
Representatives asked its Sports Committee to investigate the Ministry of
Sports role in interfering in the guidelines of the election and report back to
the House after three weeks.
