Kano Pillars
technical adviser Ibrahim Musa has tagged his side’s Aiteo Cup semi final clash
against Katsina United at the Agage Stadium on Wednesday as a Northern derby
clash, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The Chanji
Boys defeated Kwara United 3-1 in the quarter final to set up a semi-final
clash against Kano Pillars, who edged out Enyimba FC 4-2 in the quarter-final
tie on Sunday in Gombe.
In a chat
with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Musa predicted a tough duel between the two sides, stressing
that he would approach the game with all seriousness.
“Katsina
United is another game that needs another approach and we will prepare for it.
It’s a clash between two neighbours. It is a derby clash and it will be very
tou
gh. Katsina United have done well to reach this level, likewise Kano Pillars
too. So every team will want to fight to reach the final that is why it will be
very tough,” Musa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
Musa however
said that his team outplayed Enyimba FC in the quarter final clash on Sunday.
He added that his wards won’t get carried away with the victory and be focused
for Katsina United game.
“Our boys
played good football during the encounter against Enyimba. We outplayed Enyimba
because we played good game. They were good side too but our team was better
than them. Enyimba scored first and our boys responded quickly when they
realised what is at stake. They gave everything to the game and we won. A game
against Enyimba is like El Clasico and we thank God that we won and we would
build on the success to approach Katsina United with all seriousness,” Musa
said.
