Governor Al-Makura gave out the reward at a reception held for the team at the Government House, Lafia on Tuesday.
Nasarawa United were defeated 5-4 on penalties by FC Ifeanyi Ubah at the final match played at the
Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Sunday.
Al-Makura
announced a plot of land each and N200, 000 each for the players while the team’s
technical adviser Kabiru Dogo got N500, 000 and a plot of land at Karu,
Nasarawa State. Other members of the technical crew received N300, 000 each and
a plot of land.
The chairman
of the club Isaac Danladi was given N500, 000 and a plot of land while other
member of the management board were rewarded with N300, 000 each and a plot of
land for each of them.
Governor
said at the reception that he is happy with players and officials for making
Nasarwa State proud and he promised to do more next year so that they could win
the cup for the state.
He also
announced that the Lafia Township Stadium would be ready by December so that the
Solid Miners would be able to play all their home matches in Lafia next season.
