Wukari promises to return Mighty Jets to Premier League

New Chairman of Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos, Alexander Noel Wukari, has said that he is committed to returning the club back to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with the help of the newly constituted board members.

Speaking after the inauguration, conducted by the President, Mighty Jets Board of Founders, Ismaila Mabo, an elated Chairman, Wukari, said "It’s very shameful and disheartening Mighty Jets, which is among the leading clubs, who won the first league trophy in Nigeria in 1972, is still playing in the second tier of club football in Nigeria. To me, the focus now is to bring this club that has lots of fans and followers both home and abroad, back to the Premier League where they will be rubbing shoulders with some other traditional club sides like Rangers of Enugu, Shootings Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Kano Pillars, among others."

Wukari, who received the baton of leadership from Godfrey Hamza, charged them to work with new board and return Mighty Jets FC to the elite division.

The newly appointed Marketing Director of Mighty Jets FC, Sammy Adesoji, thanked the club for the confidence reposed in him to work with the club and promised to contribute his own quota to the development of the club and also making sure that Mighty Jets gain promotion back to the Premier League.
