.Says club
is in the league to learn
Katsina
United chairman Aminu Balele Kurfi has warned their opponents in the Nigeria
Professional Football league (NPFL) to underrate them at their own peril,
sounding confident as they are battle ready for a historic sojourn in the league.
Katsina
United are among the four clubs that gained promotion to the elite division at the end
of the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season.
Kurfi told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that
his team will be available to learn new thing in the league , insisting
that Katsina United can become a great
club like Rangers, 3SC, Enyimba and Kano Pillars.
“We are new
comers but we will appreciate clubs that underrate us. We are leaning and we are
in the league to get more experience from older clubs like Ranger, 3SC, Kano
Pillars, Rivers United, Enyimba. We are here to know so many things; know more
about the rules of the game and Insha Allah by next year we will become a great
club and impact good things in the league.
“We are not
in the premier league for so long and we are so happy now that we are competing
in the elite division. I am happy to tell you that we have good stadium and
hotel that is up to the standard,” Kurfi said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added: “I
have to commend our governor too for his support to the team. He is a football
lover. Just last week he predicted Super Eagle 3-1 win over Algeria. He also
predicted right that Moses would score and everything came to past. Our
governor is sport loving governor.”
