Chelsea's Victor Moses has reiterated his commitments to the Super Eagles after
he scored a brace in Nigeria's 3-1 win over Algeria in Saturday 2018 World Cup
qualifier in Uyo.
Moses missed
the team's 2-1 win away to Zambia in Ndola due to a hamstring injury last month
but returned to the Eagles starting line-up on his return and didn't
disappoint.
The 25 year
old who was a thorn in the flesh of the Algerian defence throughout the match
also praised his teammates for their heroic performance during the game.
"Fantastic
win (today) on Saturday and great team performance, always an honour to play
for my country! Buzzing to score two goals too! #Nigeria.
Victor Moses
opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a right-footed finish after some a
poor defending from the Algeria's Hicham Belkaroui and sealed the win for the
Super Eagles in stoppage time after Schalke 04's midfielder Nabil Bentaleb had
pulled one back in the 67th minute.
The win
sees Nigeria maintain top spot in Group B with six points, four ahead of second
placed Indomitable Lions on two points.
The Super
Eagles face Cameroun in Uyo next year in their third game.
