Kano Pillars
have secured the services of Rivers United’s Idris Aloma and Ikorodu United’s
striker Kabiru Balogun as part of efforts to build a formidable squad ahead of
the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), SportingLens.blogspot.com can
report.
A source in
the Sai Masu Gida’s camp revealed that the duo had started training with the
team in their pre-season camping in Lokoja.
Aloma, a
former Enyimba and ABS defender was instrumental in Rivers United squad that
got the CAF Champions League ticket for finishing second in the NPFL last
season.
Balogun was
also active in Ikorudu United team last season but his effort was not enough to
save the Oga Boys from relegation.
“In fact,
they have started training with us in Kano and they are in camp in Lokoja now.
As you can see, the club is determined to do well this season that is why we
are bringing quality players into the team now. The two players have quality
that any team in the league can look for,” a source disclosed to SportingLens.blogspot.com.
