Wikki Tourists technical adviser, Mohammed Baba Ganaru and members of his technical crew have been told they have to win their next four league games or face the music following an abysmal start to the first round in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The club’s chairman Isa Matori made the announcement on Monday.

The ultimatum resumes on Wednesday when the Big Elephants host Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) FC in their rescheduled match day nine clash at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Wikki are 20th in the NPFL table with 11 points from 11 games in the 13 weeks old league.

Matori said a decision was reached to give the technical crew and under-performed players four home and away matches to win, failure of which will lead to "a final decision on their future at the club".

Matori added that the State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar  is not happy with the situation at the club despite the government’s financial and moral support to the team.

The chairman also said the club will reduce the squad from 45 to 35. The club registered 45 players which include five feeders team for the ongoing season.

“The situation at the club is worrisome and urgent action need to be done to save the situation. We have noticed that the team is performing below the expectations and we cannot fold our arms until things get worse than this,” Matori said.
“I want to commend the governor for the love for the club and I am apologising on behalf of the club to the government and our fans for the club's uninspiring performance.”
Wikki Tourists crashed out of this year's CAF Confederation Cup at the preliminary stage of the competition.
