Tourists chairman Isa Matori is bereaved following the death of his daughter, Malama
Aminat Umaima Isa Matori.
Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports that Umaima, 29, passed away on Wednesday morning at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe State while receiving treatment for sickness. She was buried at his father’s residence Makera Street, Bauchi on Thursday morning according to Islamic rites.
However, the
management of Kano Pillars have expressed condolence with Matori’s family and the management of Wikki Tourists over
Umaima’s death.
In a
statement signed by the club’s media office, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the club described
Umaima’s death as a great loss not only to her family but to the Nigeria in
general.
Malikawa said:
“The management, technical crew and players of Kano Pillars were shocked when after
receiving the news of her death. We pray to almighty Allah to grant her Jannat
Fridaous and give her family fortitude to bear the loss.”
