Kano Pillars media officer, Idris Malaikawa has disclosed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that Wednesday’s rescheduled math day 8 of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) between his team and Wikki Tourists is not a ‘derby clash’.

The Sai Masu Gida are coming into the game with four matches unbeaten run while the Big Elephants are still struggling to find their rhythm in the league.

Malikawa said the match is a brotherly affairs and urged fans on both sides to avoid doing anything that will destroy the cordial relationship between the good people of Kano and Bauchi States.

The club’s image-maker then reaffirmed the commitment of the management under the leadership of Alh. Tukur Babangida in doing everything humanly possible to meet the aspiration of government and people of Kano State this seas

on.

Interestingly, former Kano Pillars technical adviser, Mohammed Baba Ganaru will lead Wikki Tourists against his former team at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

“We are expecting a good game between the team sides tomorrow and I believe fans won’t be disappointed at the end of the game. We hear that some fans are describing tomorrow’s game as a derby clash but I want to say that it is a brotherly affairs. Bauchi and Kano States have good relationship and we don’t want anything that can jeopardise that bond.
“It is a game and we are expecting fans from both sides to see it in that way too. We are calling on every body to exhibit spirit of sportsmanship before, during and after the game on Wednesday. Our management under Tukur Babangida is doing a yeoman’s job and In Sha Allah he will deliver at the end of the season,” Malikawa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
