Bazuaye rues costly mistakes against ABS

By Taofeek Babalola

Katsina United head coach, Baldwin Bazuaye has attributed his side’s 1-0 loss to Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC in the Match Day 12 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter at the Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin to mistakes.

Adeshina Gata, a former Kwara United youngster, beat the offside trap to score his first goal for his new club in the 25th minute of the interesting tie. The lucky Gata followed two blocked shots to score the only goal of the game.

Speaking after the match, Bazuaye admitted that both teams had a good game and gave a good account of themselves but he promised to work on the mistakes noticed during the match.

"ABS FC is a sound team and we played together in the NNL Super 4. My boys didn't play well in the first half but we came out better in the second half.  It is just because of one or two mistakes that we made. My team played well but some few lapses made us lose the game. My colleagues and I will work on it (mistakes)," Bazuaye said.
