Kano Pillars set to charge fan to court

By Taofeek Babalola

The management of Kano Pillars has promised to charge one of its fans Ibrahim Muhammad Bello Panshekara to court for the encroachment of the pitch during matchday 12 of Nigeria professional football league (NPFL) clash between Kano Pillars and Enyimba International FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano on Sunday.

Kano Pillars FC Fans Security Committee arrested Panshekara when he entered the pitch after Gambo Muhammad scored Sai Masu Gida’s third goal at 92 minutes of play in the 3-1 win over the Aba Elephants.

Kano Pillars Media Officer Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said Panshekara had been handed over to the police, insisting that the management would ensure that he is charged to court to serve as a deterrent to others.

Malikawa also urged fans of the club to always remain calm and be law abiding whenever the Pyramid City outfit is playing at home and away.

He said the management of the club would not fold its arms and watch some unpatriotic citizens denting the image of the club, Kano state and nation at large.
