Ivoirian
marksman, Guy Kuemian has spoken about his happiness after scoring twice to
inspire Rivers United to a 4-1 win over MFM FC on match day 22 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL).
Kuemian
displayed predatory instincts of the highest quality and an impressive eye for
goal as United recorded their biggest win of the season to go joint top of the
NPFL standings.
He has now
taken the time to discuss his performance on Sunday explain that it gave him
‘great pleasure’.
“I was very
happy to score twice and help my club win a difficult game. I almost scored in
our last game (against Enyimba in Umuahia) but hit the cross bar. The team will
continue to work hard and hopefully, we will make our fans happy at the end of
the season,” he said.
He scored
his first goal for the club on March 6 as United beat Nasarawa United 1-0 at
the death in Port Harcourt.
The forward
netted again seven days later with a consolation as the ‘Pride of Rivers’
succumbed to a 2-3 defeat to Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja.
He finished
a productive month of March on a high as he scored one of three goals in the
club’s first win on the road this season-a 3-2 win over Ikorodu United at
Onikan Stadium on March 23.
