reports that Isma’il died on Wednesday at the age of 25 years.

Hussein, a
100 level student of the Department of Education University of Mauduguri, told SportingLife that he played the match to
honour his brother.
“I played
for him because he always wants the best of me. I will surely miss him. It is
very difficult to lose someone very close to you but God knows the best. I pray
that Allah will forgive him all his sins and grant him Aljanat Fridous,”
Hussein said.
The club’s
media manager, Anthony Obaseki said the club sympathized with Hussein and his
family.
“On behalf of El Kanemi Warriors FC, we are
sympathizing with one of our players Hussein who lost his brother. We pray to
God Almighty to give him and his family fortitude to bear the loss,” Obaseki
said.
