The Borno
Armies host Abia Warriors in the Match Day 22 of the Nigeria Professional
Football League at the El Kanmei Stadium, Maiduguri.
In separate
interviews with Sportinglens.blogspot, Mathias, who has scored two goals this season and
Bata with four goals to his credit, believed they can inspire their team to victory.
In his own
word Mathias said it is a payback time for Abia Warriors: “We almost got a draw
in the first leg in Umuahia which we lost by 2-1. We are ready for the match
because we have prepared well for them. They should expect nothing less than
4-0 in the game. When we started the season we have problem of blending and
understanding but everything is perfect and okay now. We understand ourselves
and we are going to beat Abia Warriors hands down.”
Bata, the 100
level student of the Department of Education University of Mauduguri, said: “I
am very happy because am helping my team. I am in my best form now. We are
preparing well for Abia Warriors because the match is very important to us. I am
very confident of three points in the match.”
