Prime FC battle COD United in Osogbo

Prime Football Club will lock horns with COD United Football Club of Lagos on Saturday in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Week 4 challenge at the 15,000-capacity ultramodern Oshogbo Township Stadium.

The records favour the Omoluabi Giants to beat COD United to brighten their chances of returning to the elite league. Prime whitewashed COD 3-0 in their last meeting.

Prime FC resumed training Friday morning for the challenge against COD United, after their emphatic Federation Cup Round of 32 win over Kano Pillars, with one thing in mind, how to get outright victory in the match.

The 'Believe and Achieve' side face a COD United team that are coming from a disappointing 0-1 home defeat to Delta Force.

Prime Head Coach, Shina Afolabi, has warned his players not to expect an easy ride in the game, declaring that it would be a tougher game than the match against Kano Pillars.

Afolabi said COD United are tough, more physical and will struggle for every ball come Saturday.

Prime gaffer will be banking on the experience of Olushola Akilapa who will lead the back four, and Hakeem Olalere who will lead the midfielders, he scored the only goal against Unicem Rovers in the Week 1 tie.

The trio of Adeyemi Adeyeye, Lekan Oseolohun and Damola Fakayode will be doing their job in the attack so as to get the goals against the visitors.
