The
management of Plateau United has announced the departure of its technical
adviser, Zachary Baraje. The club made
the announcement on its official twitter handle @plateauutdfc on Tuesday
evening.
Baraje had
previously been relieved of his duties as coach mid-way through last season but
was recalled by the club management.
“We wish to inform the general public that our
gaffer Zachary Baraje has parted ways with the club,” the club said.
The Former
Enyimba FC International and El Kanemi Warriors coach led the Jos-based team to
a 12th placed finish at the just concluded Nigerian Premier Football League
(NPFL) season.
He becomes
the third NPFL coach to lose his job officially after MFM’s Fidelis Ilechukwu
and Kano Pillars’ Mohammed Baba Ganaru.
Baraje led
Akwa United to their first ever Federations Cup triumph in 2015, when they
defeated Lobi Stars 2-1 in the finals.
