The technical crew of Super Eagles will be busy this weekend to monitor national team players across Europe as they features for their respective clubs. The Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf informed Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the team’s technical crew has concluded plans to use players’ performances in the European matches to determine team’s selection for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Desert Foxes of Algeria slated for November 12 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
This
weekend’s game may be the last game before the release of the final list of the
players that will prosecute the all-important game.
“The head
coach Rohr and I have been putting heads together on the best way to approach
the game against Algeria since the last match against Zambia. We have been
monitoring their (players) progress since the last game in Ndola and coach Rohr
is out there in Europe and he will be monitoring the Eagles players this
weekend. Their performances for their clubs will determine who will make the
final list,” Yusuf told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
“It is
important to know the players that are on top form and those that are nursing
injury before sending invitations to them. We will continue monitoring their
performances before sending invitation to them.”
