Tourists FC of Bauchi have qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first
time in the history of the club. Wikki picked
the ticket ahead of FC IfeanyiUbah after defeating Sunshine Stars 2-0 at home
to finish in third place with 57 points on the final day of the season on Sunday.
IfeanyiUbah
lost 1-0 at 10-man MFM FC to finish on 56 points.
Last season,
they failed to qualify for the Confederation Cup after they were pipped by
Nasarawa United on goals difference.
Wikki also
produced the season’s Goal King, Godwin Obaje, who scored 18 goals. coach Abdu
Coach Abdul Maikaba
made history for being the first coach to lead the club to play international
football next year at the second time of asking.
Maikaba, who
has handled Enyimba, Kano Pillars and FC Abuja, and several of his key stars,
will certainly be much sought after for the new season.
