Rangers’ reception shift to Friday

The proposed reception by the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Enugu Rangers earlier slated for Tuesday has been moved to Friday.

The club’s media officer, Foster Chime who disclosed this to Sportinglens.blogspot.com, said the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, took the decision to enable him extend invitation to all South-East Governors, Senators, House of Representative members as well as ministers from the zone. Also expected is the former Governor of the state Chief Jim Nwobodo.

Chime also revealed that a six-man committee for the event has been inaugurated.

“The Governor wants to make an event an historic one that is why the date for the reception was shifted to Friday. The league title is not only for Enugu people alone to celebrate but all the South East people. So His Excellency is inviting all Governors from South East, senators, House of Representative members as well as ministers from the zone to be part of the event.  The venue still remains Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu because the governor wants the injured striker Ifeanyi Egwim to be part of the event,” Chime said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
