Coach Mohammed
Baba Ganaru has informed Sportinglens.blogspot.com that he has left former
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Kano Pillars. Ganaru made
this known after the Pillars’ final match of the season where they drew 1-1
against Niger Tornadoes at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
The Maiduguri-born tactician remains
one of the most successful managers for the ‘Sai Masu Gida’ after guiding them
to the 2011 and 2013 league triumphs before leaving for Nasarawa United.
However, he
returned for another spell at the club but it didn’t pan out like he would’ve
hoped for as Pillars finished outside the top four.
“I want to
inform you that I have left Kano Pillars,” he told Sportinglens.blogspot.com “I
like to thank the management and everyone that supported the team. It was
unfortunate that we could not win the league or get a continental ticket but we
gave it our best efforts and I say thank you to our fans who where always there
for us.”
When asked
if he already have a new destination, he replied: “I will let you know when
there’s news on that and other things.”
