Aiteo Cup: Luck was against us- Bala

Niger Tornadoes technical adviser, Abubakar Bala has praised his boys despite their loss to Akwa United in the final of this year's Aiteo Cup, insisting that luck was against his team, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Minna-based side lost 3-2 on penalties to Akwa United after goalless score at the regulation time at the Agege Stadium on Sunday, Lagos on Sunday.

"We came here with the hope of winning but luck

was not on our side. We tried our best and we gave everything into the game. We will go home and rest before we come back to prepare for the league.

"We set a lot of target for this season and I believe we game the team something to cheer by reaching the final. I thank God, the management and the fans for their support. We will work hard to win a silverware for them next season," Bala told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
