.com can report that the management of El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri has signed
former Rangers International FC of Enugu coach, Imama Amapakabo on a year deal.
A club
official confirmed that the deal with Amapakabo was sealed on Sunday in Uyo and
he would be unveiled next week Tuesday in Maiduguri.
Sportinglens.blogspot.com learnt that the club’s officials who was led by the team’s General Coordinator,
Abubakar Abubakar were in Uyo over the weekend to finalize the deal with the
Super Eagles assistant coach.
Amapakabo
has been seen as a good replacement to the team’s former coach Ladan Bosso who
left the Maiduguri-based outfit at the end of the season.
“Amapakabo
has agreed to join El Kanemi on a year deal. The club’s officials have talked
to him on phone about their intention to have him as our coach next season. Our
officials and Imama met in Uyo over in
Uyo after the Super Eagles match and we had fruitful discussions and we all
agreed on the contractual terms,” a club official told Sportinglens.blogspot .com.
Amapakabo
has been out of club’s football since he was relieved of his job by the
management of Enugu Rangers at the beginning of last season. He guided Flying
Antelopes to their first league title after 32 years in 2016.
