Rivers United FC right full back Ifeanyi Nweke
has completed his move to the former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)
champions Kano Pillars FC, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The club's
spokesman Rilwanu Idris Malikawa told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the former
Nasarawa United defender joined Sai Masu Gida after both parties agreed on the
contractual deals.
"He attended a negotiation meeting with
our management and both of them agreed
with what they discussed. Ifeanyi Nweke has already joined the session training
of the club today (Monday) morning at Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata, Kano," Malikawa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added:
"A lot of Kano Pillars fans that watched the training programme welcome the development and efforts of the management in recruiting
the players that would assist the club to achieve its objective in the
forthcoming season."
Malikawa
reaffirmed that the club is doing everything possible to ensure that its follow
due process in negotiations with any player they want to recruit.
He pointed
out that the club is going to attend two pre season tournament before the
commencement of 2017/2018 season which
include Kano tournament organised by Kano State Football Association chairman
Alhaji Sharif Rabi'u Inuwa tagged Ahlan cup and Gold tournament in Ilorin,
Kwara state.
Malikawa
said the club decided to participate in
the two tournaments in order to make their players prepare well for the coming
season.
