Coach Ladan
Bosso has revealed that his decision not to renew his contact with El Kanemi
Warriors was necessitated by better offers he received from other clubs, sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Bosso left the Borno Army on a mutual agreement after the expiration of his two years contract with the northern-based outfit.
"My
contract with El Kanemi has ended and I want a new challenge. I have received
new offers I couldn't turn down. I told the club’s chairman my intention to
leave immediately after the end of the season and it was with a mutual
agreement.
“I always
carried the club along in anything I am doing. I have submitted my car key and
the key to my house to the chairman and I also gave the club two copies of my
report of what transpired at the just concluded season. But let it be on record
that the club is still owing me 22 match bonuses," Bosso said to sportinglens.blogspot.com.
The former
Flying Eagles coach, who joined the Maiduguri-based outfit in the 2014/15
season, said he is satisfied with his achievements with the club.
The club
finished sixth on the log at the just concluded season, an improvement from
their 8th position in his first season when he arrived from Abia Warriors to
take over from late Kelechi Emeteole.
"I have
built a team for the club which will make things easy for any coach that will
take over the club. I joined the club when the team was still struggling in the
league and I left a strong team with young players for them.
"My two
seasons with El Kanemi was glorious. Even the State Governor appreciated my
efforts with the club last weekend. They were battling relegation when I joined
but in the last two seasons, they ended the season comfortably. Even, at a time
this season we were contender for the league title. This is my first time I
stayed with a club for more than a season in the league and it is time for me
to move on.”
