Zambia star Daka fit for Nigeria clash

News from the Zambia camp is that Zambia and Redbull Salzburg striker, Patson Daka has arrived in Nigeria. The Chipolopolo forward arrived to complete coach Wedson Nyirenda’s squad to face Nigeria on Saturday in Uyo in a crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Daka is expected to lead the line for Zambia, but was delayed at his base in Austria for observation after he picked up a knock last weekend.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is wary of Chipolopolo.

“The Zambia game will be difficult. They have a better team than Cameroon perhaps. So we must be ready to give a good fight,” said Rohr.

“They (Zambia) are very young and dangerous.

“They don’t have anything to lose, they will come here with the mind to win this game.

“We’ve seen in the game against South Africa but I have a team with experience and youth to conquer and I think we are ready for this big game.”
