Africa’s
dynamic broadcaster, Kwese TV has secured exclusive broadcast rights that will
allow viewers in Nigeria and across the continent to see the British-Nigerian born
Anthony Joshua’s world Boxing title defence against Carlos Takam at
Principality Stadium in Cardiff on October 28.
This was made
known by the General Manager, Kwese Free Sports, Chichi Nwoko on Thursday
during a media parley in Lagos to officially lunch its entertainment and sports
television network TV in Nigeria.
Kwese TV lunches
with 2, 7 and 30 days subscription plans in Nigeria to bring the very best in
premium entertainment and a diverse of exclusive channels for the entire family
to enjoy.
Nwoko
disclosed that the Kwesé Free Sports crew will be in Sagamu (ancestral home of
Anthony Joshua) with their OBVAN to broadcast for the indigene of the city to enjoy
the LIVE blow-by-blow action available on Kwesé TV.
“We want to engage sports fans that is why we
are going to be in Sagamu to broadcast the match between Joshua and Carlos
Takam live. We will create a place for the people of Sagamu where they will be together
and enjoying the fight from 6pm till the time of the fight. Apart from this,
Nigerians will also have access to watch the fight on Kwese Sports and Kwesé
Free Sports,” Nwoko said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Nwoko further
revealed that the television network TV has secured broadcast rights to show
the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
“Soccer is
so big in Nigeria and the fact that Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be at the World
Cup in Russia, will have deemed it fit to show all 64 matches on our premium sports
channels and we have taken it further by securing a broadcast right to show
some matches on terrestrial TV stations and radio. The Nigeria and other Africa
can enjoy the match without stress.”
According to
her, other sporting benefit available on Kwese Sports include exclusive broadcast
of one premier league match every weekend on Kwese Free Sports, League Club Channels
(Liverpool TV, Arsenal TV, Manchester City TV, Spurs TV), Italian Serie A and
B, IAAF Championship, International Olympic Games with exclusive FTA rights,
Amerian Football (National Football League (NFL)), basketball like NBA among
others.
To get the
decoder, the consumer can purchase three and seven day subscriptions at N990
and I,850 respectively, as well as 30-day subscription option for only N6, 275.
