Nasarawa State
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has appointed Musa Elayo as the chief Press
Secretary, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Mr. Elayo was
until his present appointment, a board member and the Media Officer of the
state Male Football Club, Nasarawa United. His appointment is with immediate
effect.
Elayo, a staff
of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS), Nasarawa United studied journalism from
the Nigeria Institute of journalism, Lagos State.
He was a
graduate of Basic Production at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria
Training School, Lagos. He was also trained at the Voice of America for Basic
News Reporting and Production.
Elayo was the
former chairman Sports Writer Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Nasarawa State
chapter, and a former Secretary, Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Nasarawa
Broadcasting Service Lafia.
“I thank the
state Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura for the appointment. This appointment is an
opportunity to contribute my quota to the development of the state and I
promise to do my best. I therefore appeal for the support and cooperation of
all journalists and media establishments for a collective success,” Elayo said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
