El Kanemi hit Benin on Wednesday for camping

By Taofeek Babalola

Players and officials of El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will travel to Benin City on Wednesday for their pre-season camping in preparation for the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Sportinglens.blogspot.com can report.

The club’s General Coordinator, Abubakar Abubakar said the Borno Army would be travelling with their new coach Imama Amapakabo and old players while the invited players will join them in Benin.

“The team resumed last week with only retained players and we didn’t invite new players to Maiduguri because our camping is undergoing renovation. We are going to Benin on Wednesday for our pre-season camping and we will be there until three or four days to league resumption before we return to Maiduguri,” Abubakar said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“The invited players will join us in Benin City and we are planning to have a good outing there. We are likely to play some friendly matches there. The new coach Imama Amapakabo has been working with old players and this will give him the opportunity to blend new and old players together before the league kick off.”
