The Rivers
United technical manager, Stanley Eguma was ecstatic after his side’s nervy win
over Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in a Federation Cup Round of 16 clash at
the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi today.
Rivers
United moved to the quarter finals following a 3-2 penalty win over Oluyole
Warriors after goalless at the regulation time.
“It was a
keenly contested game. The two teams know themselves inside out and we expected
a tough game. It was a good game but we practiced penalty kicks and that’s why
we were almost perfect with our spot kicks. It is not over yet as the
competition gets tougher with each round,” Eguma said.
