Japhet eyes goal against Enyimba

El Kanemi Warriors’ Daniel Japhet is confident to increase his goal tally when his side meets Enyimba FC in the Federation round of 32 on Wednesday in Abuja. Japhet, who is the Warriors’ leading goal scorers this season, said he and his team-mates have what it takes to stop Peoples Elephants.

He insisted that the technical crew under Ladan Bosso has impacted so much in the team and believes his side can carry the day.

“I scored two goals in our match against Katsina United feeders in the round of 64 in Bauchi and last week I scored in our league match against MFM to make my goals in the league to 5. I am not underrating Enyimba but we are in top form and the spirit in our team is very high now, we are ready for Enyimba,” Japhet told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

Players and officials of El kanmei arrived in Abuja on Monday evening and resumed training on Tuesday.

“We are here for action and we will have enough time to rest before the match and I want to say here that after 90 minutes we will celebrate the victory over Enyimba,” the Benue State-born player declared.
