Hull City reject Odemwingie

.Leaves club after failing to secure contract

Nigerian international Peter Odemwingie will not be offered a Premier League lifeline by Hull City after ending his brief spell at the club. Odemwingie featured in three of City's pre-season friendlies during a fortnight of training but was absent from Saturday's 2-1 win away to Nottingham Forest.
The Mail understands the 35-year-old forward was told he would not be offered a contract by the Tigers on Friday and will now pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Odemwingie began a trial period two weeks ago during the final days of Steve Bruce's reign as manager.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia had played for West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, Stoke City and Bristol City.
