Players and Technical Crew of Rangers Intl. Football Club of Enugu
has intensified their preparation ahead of Sunday’s Oriental Derby against Enyimba
FC of Aba in Port-Harcourt. The team’s Director of Media and Public Relations, Foster
Chime said, in a statement, said that the team went straight into serious
training on Monday under the supervision of Coach Imama Amapakabo and other
Coaches to correct lapses observed in Saturday’s one all draw against Lobi
Stars FC of Markurdi.
According to Amapakabo, the home draw against Lobi Stars has
been put behind them while focus more on the forthcoming Sundays league Cracker
with Enyimba FC.
Imama said Rangers will be gunning for the three maximum
points at stake when they confront Enyimba FC, adding that nothing except
victory will give him more joy as well as teaming fans and supporters of the
club to pacify them for last weekend’s home draw against Lobi.
He said Rangers would replicate same victory against Enyimba
FC which they recorded in the first stanza of the league, believing that with
the current form of the players as well as enough motivation, nothing short of
victory is expected.
The General Manager of the club, Ozor Paul Chibuzor
appreciated Rangers fans and supporters for their support to the team even in
the face of audacious challenges, urging them to keep faith with the team
inspite of all odds while promising that the team will never drop any points at
home till the end of the league.
Some of the supporters of the team have promised undisclosed
financial incentive if they beat Enyimba FC in Sunday.
