The club’s chairman Hon. Isa Matori who disclosed this to SportingLife said Kobi’s appointment is with immediate effect.
“We are not satisfying with what we are
getting from our former media officer and we decided to have another credible
hand to handle the team. We hope that Nasiru’s experience will bring new things
into the club,” Matori told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
In a
telephone conversation with SportingLife, Kobi said he was surprised with his
appointment while promising to do his best for the club.
“I was
surprised when I was informed about my appointment. I know there are enormous
challenges ahead of me but with the cooperation of the players, management,
fans and my colleagues in the media I will achieve success with the club,” Kobi
said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
Kobi, a
graduate of Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, is a current Chairman
of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Bauchi State chapter. The
position he has been holding since 2014.
Nasiru has been
working with the Bauchi State Television in the past
25 years with half of the
years as a Sports journalist.
