El Kanemi
Warriors technical adviser, lssah Ladan Bosso says he expects a friendly
welcome from Abia Warriors fans when he returns to Umuahia Stadium to face his
old club in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 9
clash.
The Niger
State-born tactician, who left Abia Warriors two seasons ago, said his return
back to his old ground will be an emotional occasion and believes Borno Army can
still get a good result in the game.
“Umuahia is my
home, my fans are there to welcome me and give El Kanemi Warriors total
support,” Bosso said to SportingLife.
The former
Under-20 coach added: “I have a team that can play Abia Warriors. My players also
know how important this weekend’s match means to us. I am not underrating Abia
Warriors but it is going to be a tough match.
“I came here
last season and if not for our own goal I could have left Umuahia with a draw.
My team is not lacking anything so we are coming to Umuahia for points.”
Players and
officials of the team are expected to arrive in Umuahia on Friday ahead of
Sunday’s clash.
