Udoji’s header gives Kano Pillars win over Katsina Utd

Kano Pillars defeated Katsina United 1-0 in a matchday 10 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash on Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, Sportinglens.blogspot.com report.




Chinedu Udoji’s goal was all Sai Masu Gida needed to secure maximum points and moved to 7th position on the log with 13 points with two games in hand. 




The former Enyimba of Aba captain scored a powerful header from Rabiu Ali’s free kick. His first goal for Kano Pillars.





Udoji’s efforts in the encounter earned him a Man-of-the-Match award after he was adjudged by the journalists who covered the game as the best player on the day.





Udoji described the award as the “will of God” and commended his teammates for collective efforts which gave them the result.





“I give God all the glory for my first goal in new club.  It was a massive win for us. It was a collective effort from all of us. The win will boost our confidence in our next game.  We will not relent in our collective effort to see that the team end the season well. I thank God and my colleagues for the award. It is a will of God,” Udoji said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.





Kano Pillars are expected to leave Kano tomorrow to Shagamu for matchday eleven encounter with Remo Stars FC on Wednesday.
