Niger
Tornadoes' full back, Hussaini Isah has expressed optimism of his side's good
outing against Remo Stars in their Matchday 7 encounter of the Nigeria
Professional Football League, NPFL on Wednesday in Sagamu.
The
Minna-based side had to wait till 72nd minute before they could salvage a
point, courtesy of Ifeanyi Okoye's spot kick in their last weekend's home draw
with Katsina United after their guests had converted a 27th minutes penalty in
Lokoja.
The
boys of Coach Abubakar Bala will be taking on newly promoted Remo Stars in
another tricky encounter at Sagamu Stadium and Isah who has been impressive
this season for Tornadoes noted that they can replicate the same result or
getting the maximum points in Sagamu.
"It's
unfortunate we couldn't win the last game at home (against Katsina United)
despite our dominance, we've dropped a very precious points, but the league
it's a marathon, we have a chance to quickly readjust with the game against
Remo Stars tomorrow and we hope for a better result.
"If
Katsina United can come and pick a point in our home without any shot on
target, we can also go somewhere and pick a point or the maximum three points,
we are ready to give everything in the game and redeem ourselves," Isah
said.
Asked
about his target with Tornadoes this season, Isah said it's still very early to
forecast but expressed confidence that the "Ikon Allah" Boys would
spring surprises.
"I
don't want to put unnecessary pressure on myself but I'm positive it's going to
be a good season for me and Tornadoes, this is almost a new team to what we had
last season, we are young side with intelligent and dedicated players, we are
still in the building process for now, our performances with results will
answer that question well enough as the season grows more," he said.
