The management
of Wikki Tourists has passed a vote of confidence on coach Mohammed Baba
Ganaru-led technical crew despite the team’s exit from CAF Confederation Cup on
Sunday.
The Big Elephants were eliminated from the
championship by Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) on a 2-1 aggregate.
The management
and technical crew met on Monday at an emergency meeting to review the team’s
participation in the competition.
The club’s
media officer, Nasiru Kobi revealed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the board accepted the
team’s early exit as an act of God while urging the technical crew to shift
focus on Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“After an
emergency meeting of management and technical crew today (Monday), the
management after listening to technical crew accepted what happened as an act
of God. Our exit has been destined by God and wants our fans to see it that way
too.
“The management
passed vote of Confidence on technical crew and urged them to focus on NPFL and
not be distracted with what happened. The management wants big impact in the league
and the technical crew has promised to do their best. The management thanks the
state governor for the support,” Kobi said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
