Emordi quits Abia Warriors, Biffo takes over

By Taofeek Babalola

Coach Felix Okey Emordi has parted ways with Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia. The former Rangers, Enyimba and Kano Pillars manager resigned on Monday as the Technical Adviser of the club.

According to a letter addressed to the club's chairman, Chief Emeka Inyama, Emordi said he had to quit following a string of poor results and wished the club well.

The club suffered a shock 0-1 home defeat to El Kanemi Warriors in a match day nine of Nigeria professional Football League (NPFL) tie on Sunday in Umuahia.

The club has directed his assistant Abdullahi Biffo to take over with immediate effect.

Biffo’s first assignment will be an away match against Akwa United in Uyo this weekend.
